Fast Break w/ Byron Scott
ICF opened this event to the public at the brand new Fast Break Basketball Center. Today’s special guests included Byron Scott (New Orleans Hornets head coach), Lee Rouson (former New York Giant), Ray McElroy (former Indianapolis Colt), and Calvin Byrd (actor and singer). Today’s activities included inspirational testimonies by all the athletes. Followed by many shooting contests, and a basketball game where the children were able to play against the professionals. After the game the children were able to talk to the athletes, take pictures and get autographs. Winner of today’s raffle won an autographed Plaxico Burress jersey. Before the children left, then went outside the center, where we set up and bike ramp for our final guest appearance. BMX bikers, Jon Greer and Aaron Johnson performed bike tricks and even involved the children. The children and their families’ rave about what a success the event turned out to be a success!
